Recycling Program

Recycling your vaccine shipping container is as easy as 1-2-3

Each container comes with step-by-step instructions:

  • Remove vaccines from container and place in refrigerator/freezer as directed
  • Dispose of gel pack (option: cut open a corner and pour down drain with running water)
  • DO NOT leave anything in the container
  • Remove all contents from the container before sealing
  • Use provided tape and prepaid UPS shipping label
  • Give it to a UPS representative

UPS=United Parcel Service.

Merck will arrange for the actual recycling—you simply return the empty, sealed shipping container to us. The recycled container you send back will be reused in the manufacture of other building and packaging materials.
