Customer Alignments

How are the top 25 accounts determined for my territory?

The top 25 Direct-purchasing accounts in your territory, as determined by back-end customer sales data, will be automatically linked to your MerckVaccines.com user ID by the time you finish sales training. Please discuss with your manager on which customers you should focus your day-to-day efforts.

 

How do I unlink accounts that I do not want linked to my MerckVaccines.com ID?
  • Click the My Account tab at the top right of the page and click on "My Profile".
  • On the My Profile page, under the "Direct Purchase Account" heading, click on "Unlink a Direct Purchase Account".
  • This will pop up a window with all the accounts linked to your user ID. Click on the account you want to remove, then click the "Select" button.
  • On the Review page confirm the removal by clicking "Submit".
  • The account will be removed from your user ID in 24-48 hours.
How do I link accounts?
  • Click the My Account tab at the top right of the page and click on "My Profile".
  • On the My Profile page, under the "Direct Purchase Account" heading, click on "Link a Direct Purchase Account".
  • Fill in the Direct Purchase Account # (which is the customer’s SAP ID), the business name, address, phone number and click “Save & Continue”.
  • On the Review page click “Submit”.
  • The account will be added to your user ID in 24-48 hours.
How do I find a customer’s SAP ID?

In Veeva

  • Click on the desired customer.
  • In the left-hand side column near the bottom, click on Alternate Identifiers.
  • If the user has a direct purchase account, the SAP ID will be listed here. This is the ID you will use to link an account to your MerckVaccines.com user ID.

  • Go to the Account Overview section for the desired customer.
  • In the top right side you will see the SAP ID.
  • This is the ID you will use to link an account to your MerckVaccines.com user ID.

How do I add or remove many accounts at once?

If you have several accounts to add or remove, please go into Outlook and send an email to the OMC Eligibility mailbox. Please include your MerckVaccines.com user ID (typically your ISID), and a list of SAP IDs that you would like to add or a list of SAP IDs that you would like to remove. Accounts will be added or removed in 24-48 hours.

What if I log in and no accounts appear linked?

Please go into Outlook and send an email to the OMC Eligibility mailbox. Please include your MerckVaccines.com user ID (typically your ISID) and explain that you have no accounts linked.

What If my territory changes or if I’m covering a vacant territory, will my linked accounts be updated automatically?

No, they will not be updated automatically. You can Link or Unlink accounts as listed above.

What else should I know about using the site with customers?

You may not detail a customer using the MerckVaccines.com Brand pages. You may instruct a customer to go to those pages, but you must only use your approved detail items when talking about Brands.

You may not take control of the customer’s mouse/computer to navigate the site. You may, however, tell the customer how to go to a page.

What Ordering tips can I share with the customers?

Catalog - Recently Ordered Tab – This is a tab that will only show the product packages that the customer has recently ordered. This may be helpful for the customer so they do not have to scroll through products that they do not normally order. They can make this as the default view every time they enter the catalog by clicking the Settings link under “Browse Products”.

There is a My Product List tab in the Top navigation section of Order Products. This section allows customers to create their own Shopping Lists of frequent or typical orders. The customer can save the package formulation and quantities that they normally order.

What Order History tips can I share with the customers?

Tracking a shipment - can be done on the Order Details page for any order that has Shipped. Under each line item you will see the Tracking number. Clicking on it will take the user to the UPS tracking page.

Report Shipping Issue – Customers can report an issue with a shipment online. On Order History screen in the list of orders there is a link on the far right side of every order, beneath the View/Track Order button.

There is also a Report Shipping Issue link on the Order Details page next to the Print button.

DSCSA T3 Data – To help customers remain compliant with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act, a link is available on the Homepage under “Quick Links” or on the Order Details page next to the tracking number of each Line item.

What Payment tips can I share with the customers?

Pay a credit card invoice early – The customer may wish to pay an invoice early instead of waiting for the discount due date, which is based on the terms of their contract. In the Payments section, click on the “Credit Card – Scheduled” tab. Find the invoice they wish to pay, and then click the “Pay Now” button. Their credit card will be charged that day instead of the discount due date.
