Below are FAQs and topics related to registering as a member, purchasing products, and maintaining account information on MerckVaccines.com.

When you become a registered member of MerckVaccines.com, you can access more than just product and disease information. You will have access to a dedicated Vaccine Account Representative, and complimentary patient education resources.

Your registration also gives you access to other Merck sites, such as Merck Connect.

By adding a Direct Purchase Account to your profile, you will also have access to the ordering section of the site, which gives you the capability to place orders then manage and track orders, shipments, and invoices.

Registering on MerckVaccines.com

What information do I need to register?

You will need to provide an email address and create a password to register. You will also need to be prepared to enter some basic personal and professional information.

How does Merck use my information?

Merck will only use your information in accordance with our Terms of Use.

Forgot Password

Can I change the email address I use to log in?

Yes. To change the email address in your profile, click on “My Profile” at the top of the the log-in screen, then click “Edit My Profile” and then the “Change Email” button. You will be asked to provide the email address you use for your Merck registration.

How do I reset my password?

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on the “Sign-In” button in the top right corner. Enter your user name and click “Continue”. On the next screen, instead of entering a password, click “Forgot your password?” under the “Continue” button. You will be asked again for your email address. Click “Reset password”. A link will be sent to your email address to allow you to reset your password.

Why do I not need a user ID anymore?

Merck has changed the website log-in experience to use an email address instead of a user ID to register and log-in to Merck sites. The first time existing users log-in after this change, they will be prompted for their email address and asked to create a new password. If you are already a MerckVaccines.com user, you should enter the email address associated with your existing registration.

Managing Your Direct Purchase Account

What is a Direct Purchase Account?

A Direct Purchase Account gives you the opportunity to buy vaccine products directly from Merck. The account also provides an easy, convenient way to manage your purchases. Through your Direct Purchase Account, you can:

  • Order vaccines day or night
  • View past orders
  • Track delivery status
  • Print and pay invoices
  • Check credits
  • Manage account information

What do I need when applying for a Direct Purchase Account?

Before you begin, it would be helpful to gather the following information, which is required for completing the Direct Purchase
Account application:

  • Ownership information (specialty, years in business, tax-exemption status)
  • Practice information (names of all partners/owners)
  • State license information

How long will it take to fill out the Direct Purchase
Account application?

There are 10 steps in the process. It normally takes about 15 to 30 minutes to complete the entire Direct Purchase Account application.

For security purposes, you will have 15 minutes per screen to enter your information or your session will expire. If your session expires, any information that has been entered will be saved.

Can the application be completed entirely online?

Yes. Your application can be completed entirely online. After filling in the information, you will be asked to electronically sign the application and agree to certain terms and conditions that will govern the use of your Direct Purchase Account.

Will I receive a copy of my application?

You will have the opportunity to save and print your application after it is completed.

How long will it be before I can place an order?

It takes around 3 to 5 business days to process your application. You will receive an email notifying you of your application status.

If I already have a Direct Purchase Account, how do I use it on MerckVaccines.com?

You can link your Direct Purchase Account to your MerckVaccines.com user ID after signing in to MerckVaccines.com. Once signed in, click on “My Profile” in the top right corner. Then, click “Link a Direct Purchase Account”. You will be taken to the “Link Direct Purchase Account” page. Fill out the information with your Merck Direct Purchase Account number and click the “Link DPA” button. You will receive an email within 5 business days notifying you that your Direct Purchase Account is linked. To return to MerckVaccines.com click the “CLICK TO RETURN TO MerckVaccines.com” link at the very top of the screen.

How can I remove a Direct Purchase Account from my MerckVaccines.com account?

You can remove a Direct Purchase Account from your MerckVaccines.com user ID at anytime after signing in to MerckVaccines.com. Once signed in, click on “My Profile” in the top right corner. Then, click “Manage Direct Purchase Account”. You will be taken to the “Manage Direct Purchase Account (DPA)” page. Select the account you want to remove and click the “Unlink DPA” button. Then click the “Submit” button on the “Review Unlink Account Information” page. You will receive an email within 5 business days confirming the removal of the account. To return to MerckVaccines.com click the “CLICK TO RETURN TO MerckVaccines.com” link at the very top of the screen.

How can I update my billing information?

You can update your billing information at anytime after signing in to MerckVaccines.com. Once signed in, click on the “My Profile” link in the top right of MerckVaccines.com. Then click “Manage Direct Purchase Account”. You will be taken to the “Manage Direct Purchase Account (DPA)” page. Select the account you want to modify and click the “Edit Billing Information” button. On the “Edit Billing Address” page, change the information that you wish and click the “Save” button. You will receive an email within 5 business days confirming the change to your information. To return to MerckVaccines.com click the “CLICK TO RETURN TO MerckVaccines.com” link at the very top of the screen.

How can I update my shipping information (ie, update office hours and locations)?

You can update your shipping information at anytime after signing in to MerckVaccines.com. Once signed in, click on the “My Profile” link in the top right of MerckVaccines.com. Then click “Manage Direct Purchase Account”. You will be taken to the “Manage Direct Purchase Account (DPA)” page. Select the account you want to modify and click the “Add/Edit Shipping Information” button. On the “Direct Purchase Account (DPA) page, click on the facility name of the shipping address you wish to modify. On the “Edit Shipping Address” page, change the information that you wish and click the “Save” button. You will receive an email within 5 business days confirming the change to your information. To return to MerckVaccines.com click the “CLICK TO RETURN TO MerckVaccines.com” link at the very top of the screen.

Why am I being sent from MerckVaccines.com to a different Merck website to update my Merck Direct Purchase Account information?

Merck is consolidating all Direct Purchase Account management functions into the MyMerckAccounts.com website. This will help you have access to all your Direct Purchase Account related items, such as applying for a Merck Direct Purchase Account, linking to or removing Direct Purchase Accounts, account address-related maintenance, contract availability,… etc.

Updating Profile Information

Can I change the email address I use to log in?

Yes. To change the email address in your profile, click on “My Profile” at the top of any screen. After logging in, you will be taken to the My Profile screen. Under “Profile Information” select “Change Email”.

How do I change my password or other profile information?
